Leonid Afremov tried different techniques during his career, but he especially fells in love with painting with oil and pallette-knife. Every artwork is the result of long painting process and brings different mood, colors and emotions. I love these, especially "after the date." How romantic. It really capture the feeling of new love.
These are marvelous... I too would choose 'After The Date' as my favorite'... what is especially meaningful to me though about his work, is that he seems to favor a certain color palette throughout all his works. I do the same with my drawings and often wondered if I wasn't 'supposed to' or something completely irrelevant like that! lol! I will now be more comfortable with my favorite colors!! :)
I really like Two Sisters. It seems to capture the magic of summer and youth.
I am torn between After the Date and Two Sister myself, I love the warm snuggly feeling of After the Date but the 2 sisters bring back thoughts of my 2 daughters ... I am glad everyone is enjoying this artist !
